So Much Ecouragement...
Kiss Lex and Terry goodbye! There is no way that the dean or the Board can even think of retaining this kind of programming after the editorials of the last week; it is only a matter of time. The more shame that can be heaped upon the dean of the school of Journalisim, the better. The University of Florida is going to have to take a stand. Is it for dollars? If so, say so! Or is it for "classical" education. If so, say so.
Bernard Machen can put this thing to rest once and for all if he is willing. The disturbing thing is...Is he willing? Ultimately, and there are those of you who will disagree with me, this move has been made, as I've said before, for political purposes. NPR, the CPB, and other "public broadcasting" entities have been co-opted to promote a liberal political agenda; plain and simple. For over twenty years, successful, private, "conservative radio" has proven itself too successful for the likes of the left in this country. The co-opting of "public radio" for the purpose of disseminating liberal propaganda and for being the voice of the current federal administration is deliberate and clear.
I am not declaring a political stance, but simply stating truth. All I want is for WUFT to return in it's previous incarnation!
Peace to all!
