Petition: keep the music-based format
We still don't have a name for our group or a clear mission, but one thing is certain: we are upset that the people in charge of WUFT-FM have taken it upon themselves to change the station's format without giving us a fair hearing.
This petition takes only the baseline position:
Let your voice be heard! The information you fill out below will be sent to Dean Wright, President Machen, and others in power.
The form has a place for you to write your comments to the recipients of the petition. We encourage you to express yourself.
You may indicate on this form what use we may make of this email address beyond the purpose of verifying your identity. There are two questions: one asks if you want your email address to appear on the petition to be delivered to Dean Wright and others in authority; the other question asks if you would like to be on the mailing list for more information on how we can save the format we love on WUFT.
Be aware that the petition, submitted as it will be to officials of a state institution, will likely become part of the public record. Your email address will appear on it if you make that selection, and your street address will appear if you submit that. Most pen-and-paper petitions ask for the street address and ZIP code, but we give you the option not to give the street address.
Your email address is required only so that the software can send you a confirmation request. The email address will be disclosed on the petition if you choose, but apart from that I will not share it with anyone.
